If you've ever wanted to explore everything Porta 6 has to offer without committing to a full case of any one style, this is the case for you. Vidigal Wines — whose motto is "the best possible wine at the lowest possible price"— has built one of Portugal's most recognised wine brands around the Lisboa region, and this mixed case gathers all six expressions of the Porta 6 range into a single box.
From the classic red that put the brand on the map, to a fizzing Vinho Verde, a summer rosé, a sparkling wine and the oak-aged reserve, every bottle here is a different answer to the same question: what does Portugal's most versatile wine brand taste like when you follow it all the way through?
What's in the case:
Porta 6 Red — Portugal, Lisboa, 13% The wine that started it all. Ruby red with warm flavours of jammy forest fruit combined with aromas of violets and touches of spice — supple on the palate with chewy tannins that provide texture and length. Made from Tinta Roriz, Castelão and Touriga Nacional from the mountains north of Lisbon. Rated Silver at the International Wine Challenge, and praised by Jancis Robinson as a wine that delivers sheer, pure deliciousness. No oak, all fruit — exactly what it should be.
Porta 6 Red (PET Bottle) — Portugal, Lisboa, 13% The same beloved Porta 6 Red, now available in a lightweight, shatterproof PET bottle. Vidigal Wines now offers its acclaimed Porta 6 wines in PET bottles — eco-friendly packaging that is lighter, shatterproof, and reduces the environmental impact of glass production and transportation, while maintaining the wine's full quality and flavour profile. Ideal for outdoor dining, picnics, travel, or anyone looking to reduce their footprint one bottle at a time.
Porta 6 Rosé — Portugal, Lisboa, 12% Made from Castelão, Tinta Roriz and Syrah, this is a pale salmon-coloured rosé bursting with summer character. Light and fresh, bursting with summer berry fruit flavours, with a delightfully dry finish. Elegant wild fruit aromas, refreshing acidity, and real mineral freshness on the palate. Rated 16 points in Vinho Grandes Escolhas. Best served well chilled as an aperitif, with grilled fish, or alongside a simple seafood lunch.
Porta 6 Sparkling — Portugal, Lisboa, 12% Made using the Charmat method from Arinto, Fernão Pires and Chardonnay, with a second fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness of the grapes. Complex with finesse — very fresh, with notes of citrus, nuts and spices, fine and persistent bubbles. Rated 90 points by Wine Enthusiast. A versatile, crowd-pleasing sparkling wine that works just as well as an aperitif as it does alongside tapas or grilled fish.
Porta 6 Vinho Verde — Portugal, Vinho Verde DOC, 9.5% From the cool, Atlantic-influenced vineyards of the Vinho Verde region, made from a blend of Loureiro, Trajadura and Arinto. Citric colour with pale greenish tones, fruited aroma with hints of tropical fruits and flowers, and a pleasant mouth with a slight sweetness. Low in alcohol, lively, and refreshing — the perfect warm-weather pour, equally at home with seafood, sushi, or a lazy afternoon in the garden.
Porta 6 Red Reserve — Portugal, Lisboa, 13.5% The flagship of the range, and the most structured of the six. Intense aromas of wild and black fruits, spices and a light touch of chocolate — in the mouth, fruit, structure, softness and freshness combine in a persistent and pleasant finish. Made from Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Touriga Nacional, aged in French oak for added complexity and depth. Rated 16.5 points in Vinho Grandes Escolhas. This is Porta 6 as it behaves when given room to breathe — richer, smoother, and more layered than the standard release.
