The Five Steps to Lower Prices

   To prove we could turn heavily inflated products in the UK into fairly priced ones, we decided to scrutinise the entire value chain, starting with one of the most marked-up products: wine. Historically, wine prices in the UK have been significantly higher than in the rest of Europe. We broke down the whole value chain to find the root cause. In addition to a very high tax burden, wine has a complex supply chain with many intermediaries, each taking a profit margin; this results in an enormously inflated final price for consumers.

   The solution was simple – we removed all intermediaries and optimised the logistics chain by reducing the weight per bottle. We negotiate in bulk with each wine brand directly at the source, and sell to the end consumer through a streamlined online distribution system.

   In the initial phase, we could only achieve this with a few wine brands. Our aim is to grow both our offering and the diversity of our products. To reach that goal, we need your help – just a little faith in our ability to create this magnificent galaxy. We won’t charge any fees or require subscriptions; we only ask that you trust us with your first purchase.

   We are mathematicians by profession, so this is where things get really interesting. As time goes by and our scale increases, prices will naturally become deflationary and start to fall. We have experts in every product category we plan to offer, so we are fully confident in this approach.

Finally, with your loyalty and once our supply chain is established, we will gradually add more products. We started with wines, and we hope that within three years we will have all types of typically overpriced products available at fair prices.
